The Army awarded Lockheed Martin a $1.2 billion contract for the Precision Strike Missile Increment 2, adding a multimode seeker capable of engaging moving maritime targets out to 500 km as part of an Early Operational Capability; Increment 2 follows a February missile launch and sets the stage for longer-range increments, with work to be completed by 2031 and production accelerated under DoD framework agreements.
