Apple Commits to 5 Years of iPhone Security Updates
Apple has committed to providing a minimum of five years of security updates for iPhones, in compliance with the UK's PSTI Act. This new regulation requires companies to define the minimum duration for security updates on internet-connected products. While Apple has set a minimum of five years, it has historically provided updates to older models as well. The iPhone 15, released on September 22, 2023, will receive updates until at least 2028.
