Squadron 42 Opens Steam Wishlist for Q2 2027 Amid Cast and Design Controversies
Cloud Imperium Games has opened the Steam wishlist for Squadron 42, the single-player spinoff of Star Citizen, confirming a release window in the second quarter of 2027. The game features a massive Hollywood cast and runs on the proprietary StarEngine technology. While the new trailer highlights cinematic space combat and on-foot action, the announcement has sparked debate regarding the game's long development timeline and the design of female characters.
