Judge Detains Teen in Family Cruise Rape-and-Murder Case, Citing Depravity
A 16-year-old stepbrother, Timothy Hudson, was ordered detained on charges that he raped and murdered his stepsister Anna Kepner aboard a family Carnival Cruise. A federal judge described the acts as depraved and psychopathic, expressing concern he could snap, and ruled that remaining in a household with children while on supervised release posed a risk. Hudson, being tried as an adult, will be held in Florida’s Citrus County Jail for a mental health exam, with his trial scheduled for September. He has pleaded not guilty.
