Capcom confirms Code Veronica remake stays third-person, draws on RE2 remake
Capcom clarified at Summer Game Fest that the Resident Evil: Code Veronica remake will be a third‑person title and will borrow gameplay cues from the 2019 RE2 remake. The remake drops the 'Code' from its name, is being made with care to honor the original, and is set three months after RE2. It’s planned for 2027 on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Switch 2, and PC.
