Donkey Spinoff Slated for June 2028, Shrek 5 Eyes 2027
Universal and DreamWorks announced a Donkey-origin spinoff titled Donkey, set for June 30, 2028, with Eddie Murphy returning to voice the character; the film is directed by Charlie Bean, produced by Rebecca Huntley, and co-directed by Matt Flynn. In a related note, Shrek 5 remains on the slate for summer 2027 with the core cast returning (Myers, Murphy, Diaz) and Zendaya joining, directed by Conrad Vernon and Walt Dohrn.
