Paramount has dated the Duffer Brothers’ mysterious event film for November 3, 2028; the project, kept under wraps, will be written and directed by Matt and Ross Duffer and produced via Upside Down Pictures as part of their four-year deal with Paramount to create movies, TV and streaming projects after leaving Netflix.

Paramount+ is moving forward with an event film titled "Star Trek: Section 31" starring Michelle Yeoh, who will reprise her role as Emperor Philippa Georgiou. The film will follow Georgiou as she joins a secret division of Starfleet tasked with protecting the United Federation of Planets and facing the sins of her past. Production will begin later this year, and Yeoh will also executive produce. Section 31 was first introduced in "Deep Space Nine" and has since been featured in various "Star Trek" shows and films.
