Ukraine's Army Utilizes Steam Decks for Remote-Controlled Turrets in War with Russia
The Ukrainian military is using Steam Decks to control remote-control turrets in their war with Russia. The turrets are developed by Ukrainian firm Global Dynamics, and a crowdfunding campaign raised funds to supply 10 of them to the Ukrainian armed forces. The Steam Deck's native OS client and touch screen make it perfect for this kind of usage, according to Bellingcat research Aric Toler. This is not the first time gaming controllers have been used for military purposes.
