"Restaurants and Chefs Across the US Win Coveted James Beard Awards"
Three Los Angeles restaurants and chefs won James Beard Awards, including Margarita Manzke of République for outstanding pastry chef or baker, OTOTO for outstanding beverage program, and Justin Pichetrungsi of Anajak Thai for best chef in California. The James Beard Awards celebrate excellence in the food industry and were given out to about two dozen chefs and restaurant teams around the country. Los Angeles was the only California city to receive any awards.
