Ascent of Ashes, a post-apocalyptic survival sim developed by Vivid Storm, is set to release later this year. The game, born out of a popular RimWorld mod, puts players in charge of managing a community of colonists under constant siege by raiders, aliens, and other forces. Players must protect their colonists by building a settlement that can sustain the populace and hold off outside threats, while also sending soldiers out on expeditions. Combat plays out in real-time, and players must be careful as it only takes one or two shots to snipe off a colonist.
