Novo Nordisk's RNAi therapy receives FDA approval for rare genetic conditions and kidney disorders
Novo Nordisk has received FDA approval for nedosiran, an RNAi therapy developed by Dicerna Pharmaceuticals, to treat primary hyperoxaluria type 1 (PH1), a rare kidney disease. Marketed as Rivfloza, the drug is expected to be available in early 2024 and is approved to lower urinary oxalate levels in adults and children aged 9 and older.
