Sweden's Rocket Mishap Causes Tension with Norway
Norway has criticized Sweden for failing to formally notify them after a research rocket malfunctioned and landed in Norway's territory. The rocket was launched from the Esrange Space Center and reached an altitude of 250km before landing 40km northwest of the planned landing site. The Swedish Space Corporation has apologized and is investigating the incident. The rocket is part of a European program commissioned by the European Space Agency.
