Monaco ITT kicks off Vuelta a España with staggered start times for Stage 1
The opening individual time trial of the 2026 Vuelta a España travels roughly 9.4–9.6km through Monaco, with Diego Uriarte first off the ramp around 16:17 CET and Primož Roglič the last rider at 19:20 CET. Notables like Wout van Aert (19:17) and Tadej Pogačar (19:19) are among the favourites, while Jonas Vingegaard is absent due to injury. The race also features two ITTs, the Stage 1 opener and a 32km TT on Stage 18, and the Monaco course includes twists, tunnels and landmarks from Monte Carlo to Boulevard Albert 1er.
