Bethesda Issues Cease-and-Desist Over 'Doom' Memecoin Scam
Bethesda has sent legal counsel to address the unauthorized use of 'Doom' branding for a memecoin and browser game. Former level designer Sandy Petersen promoted the project before it collapsed. The company clarified that while creative uses of the engine are permitted, commercial exploitation of assets is not.
