Netflix has renewed the comedy Running Point for a third season, with production staying in Los Angeles. Kate Hudson returns as Isla Gordon to lead the Los Angeles Waves amid family power plays and boardroom scrutiny. Season 2’s solid viewership and Netflix Top 10 presence helped secure the renewal, with Mindy Kaling, Ike Barinholtz, and David Stassen continuing as writers/showrunner.
Paramount+ has renewed Taylor Sheridan’s The Madison for a third season. The series, which stars Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell, launched in March and drew about 8 million viewers in its first 10 days; Season 2 has already been filmed, but no premiere date was set at press time. The show is produced by Paramount TV Studios, 101 Studios, and Bosque Ranch, with Sheridan creator and executive producer along with Pfeiffer, Russell and a team of other executive producers, as Sheridan’s slate of Paramount+ dramas continues to expand.
