Second Lady Usha Vance Welcomes Fourth Child Alec Neel Vance
Second Lady Usha Vance gave birth on Sunday to a baby boy named Alec Neel Vance, the fourth child for Usha and Vice President JD Vance. The couple’s three older children are between ages 4 and 9. JD Vance has previously said he wouldn’t likely take parental leave and even revealed he persuaded Usha to have a fourth child when the idea came up during his political pursuits. The pregnancy was announced in January with a late-July due date, and the family says both mother and baby are healthy and happy. NBC notes that the Vapce couple are also considering leasing a rural Virginia home with Secret Service security separate from the Naval Observatory residence.
