MTG's The Hobbit Brings Middle-earth to the Card Table
Magic: The Gathering | The Hobbit reveals a new set (HOB) arriving August 14, 2026, with preorders now and a full product lineup (Play Boosters, Collector Boosters, Bundles, Gift Bundles, Draft Night, scene boxes). It brings Tolkien’s world to MTG with Gleaming Gold Smaug, Dwarven-language and book-cover cards, Dragon hoard frames, Middle-earth journey lands, and seasonal Hobbit lands, plus 40 borderless artist cards and other special treatments; events at stores worldwide will feature promos and prereleases. Expect further reveals and a 2027 Battle of Five Armies Co-Op Kit, with updates via DailyMTG and Magic.gg.
