Yankees Add Seth Brown on Minor League Deal for Spring Training Depth
The New York Yankees signed Seth Brown to a minor-league contract, giving the 33-year-old first baseman/outfielder a shot at spring training and depth roles. Brown had solid power during his Oakland years (notably 2021–22) but struggled in recent seasons, posting a poor big-league line last year despite strong minor-league numbers. With a crowded lineup (Rice, Domínguez, Judge, Stanton, and potential Bellinger) Brown’s path to the majors is not guaranteed, but the deal provides organizational depth and a chance for a call-up if needed.
