35-year term for Bay Area mom who hosted alcohol-fueled teen sex parties
A Santa Clara County judge sentenced Shannon O’Connor, the so-called 'Los Gatos party mom,' to 35 years in prison after she was convicted of roughly four dozen crimes for hosting drunken parties for teens as young as 14–15, supplying alcohol and condoms, encouraging sexual activity, and failing to seek medical help for intoxicated youths; she must register as a sex offender, and prosecutors said she endangered and traumatized the victims while she claimed the parties were intended to help her son during the COVID-19 lockdown.
