Fiennes' stepson launches £55k fundraiser to locate explorer after welfare concerns
Sir Ranulph Fiennes, the 82-year-old explorer, has not been seen publicly since October 2024. His stepson, Alexander Millington-Cotes, has launched a crowdfunding campaign to pay for legal advice to locate and safeguard Fiennes. Concerns have emerged that Fiennes' second wife, Louise Millington-Cotes, has placed him in care homes under fake names and restricted visitor access. A care watchdog has reportedly assessed his situation as an unlawful deprivation of liberty. Family members are calling for an urgent investigation by the Office of the Public Guardian.
