"Newly Discovered Saturn-Sized Exoplanet Amazes Astronomers"
Astronomers have discovered a new exoplanet, TOI-1135 b, orbiting a young solar-type star similar in size to Saturn. The planet, identified by NASA's TESS, has a radius of about 0.8 Jupiter radii and a mass of approximately 0.062 Jupiter masses, with an estimated equilibrium temperature of 950–1,200 K. TOI-1135 b is considered an inflated exoplanet with an extended atmosphere, likely due to strong stellar radiation, and is expected to lose most of its atmosphere in a few hundred million years. The parent star, TOI-1135, is slightly larger and more massive than the sun, with an estimated age between 125 million and 1 billion years.
