NASA Rocket Launch Visible in NJ and PA.
NASA is set to launch a small rocket from the Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia on Monday evening, as part of a mission to test over a dozen new technology projects. The rocket is expected to reach an altitude of 108 miles before descending by parachute into the Atlantic Ocean to be recovered. While the best views of the launch will be from the Chesapeake Bay region, people in central and southern New Jersey, along with southeastern Pennsylvania, may be able to get a quick glimpse of the rocket about 10 to 30 seconds after liftoff.
