
Tuchel names expanded England squad for World Cup prep with first-time calls for Garner and Steele
England boss Thomas Tuchel named an expanded 35-man squad for World Cup preparations, including two uncapped players James Garner and Jason Steele, recalls for Harry Maguire and Kobbie Mainoo, and returns for Calvert-Lewin and Solanke, while omitting Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ollie Watkins and dealing with injuries to Reece James and Trevoh Chalobah. The camp is split into two phases, with 11 players joining after the Uruguay friendly, and England play friendlies at Wembley against Uruguay (27 March) and Japan (31 March as part of the build-up ahead of the final squad deadline on 30 May.
