India's Chandrayaan-3 Lunar Mission Set for Live Launch on July 14
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has invited citizens to witness the launch of Chandrayaan-3, India's third lunar exploration mission, from the Launch View Gallery at SDSC-SHAR, Sriharikota, by registering online. The mission is scheduled to be launched on July 14 at 2.35 pm from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, with a planned landing on the moon's surface on August 23. The objective of Chandrayaan-3 is to demonstrate safe landing and roving capabilities on the lunar surface, with a rover expected to operate for 14 days and transmit images back to Earth.
