Pad Level-Up: Bennett and Simpson Impress as Rams Run With Full Pads on Day 5
Day 5 of Rams Training Camp featured the first padded practice with Stafford resting; Stetson Bennett IV led the first-team offense and Ty Simpson led the second unit in a run-heavy session, while Davante Adams and Myles Garrett were on scheduled rest. Bennett showed command with a 25-yard touchdown to Kyren Williams and a deep ball to Mario Williams, and Simpson displayed a quicker release and growth in rhythm. The defense answered with Poona Ford and cornerback Alex Johnson making plays even without Garrett, Alaric Jackson returned to practice, Blake Corum’s offseason work showed, and former Bills coach Sean McDermott visited the session.
