
Former CIA Official’s $40 Million Gold Haul Ties to Trump Ally Feinberg
FBI/ cia agents seized about 303 gold bars valued at roughly $40 million from the Ashburn, Virginia home of David Rush, a former CIA official accused of theft of public money and credential fraud. Rush, who says the gold was for “work-related expenses,” has a years-long tie to Steve Feinberg, Trump’s deputy defense secretary and Cerberus founder, who previously chaired the Intelligence Advisory Board. Rush remains in custody ahead of a court hearing, as investigators pursue additional charges and vetting questions about his hiring.
