Trade Desk tumbles after Q2 miss and tepid guidance streak
The Trade Desk posted Q2 revenue of $715.06 million and adjusted EPS of $0.34, missing Wall Street expectations, and issued weaker Q3 guidance of at least $650 million in revenue and about $160 million EBITDA (vs. consensus near $805 million and $340 million). Shares slid more than 26% after hours following a 6.8% drop in the regular session. Retail chatter on StockTwits remained broadly bullish, with debates over whether the disappointment stemmed from weak guidance or slower growth. CEO Jeff Green said the company will intensify AI, measurement, and decisioning tools to boost future value, and customer retention stayed above 95%.
