Los Retros Frontman Charged With Child Abuse Felonies Before LA Festival
Mauricio Tapia, the 26-year-old frontman of indie-rock band Los Retros, faces four felony counts of unlawful acts involving a child under 10 in Ventura County. The charges were filed just days before the band was scheduled to perform at the Stones Throw 30 festival in Los Angeles. Tapia, who founded the group in 2016 and recently played Coachella, has been released on $3 million bail pending his next court appearance on October 22. His record label, Stones Throw Records, has severed ties with the artist following the allegations.
