UniFi Home Wi‑Fi 7 UX7‑3 Mesh Delivers True STR MLO Backhaul for Whole‑Home Coverage
Ubiquiti’s UniFi UX7-3 3-pack adds STR MLO backhaul to a true Whole Home Wi‑Fi 7 mesh, letting 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands combine for a stronger uplink while recommending a star topology with wired backhaul. In testing, STR MLO boosted backhaul by 800+ Mbps and offered solid coverage (~1,700 ft² per node). The system integrates with UniFi OS and supports mixed hardware, but each UX7 has two ports (one 10 Gbps), no PoE, no AFC, backhaul uses 5/6 GHz only (no 2.4 GHz), and units aren’t wall‑mount‑ready. Priced around $559 for the 3-pack, it’s a compelling option for Wi‑Fi 7 mesh enthusiasts.
