As she tried to separate the dogs, the man pulled out a switchblade and stabbed the pit bull mix. The seriously injured dog was transported to a local animal clinic, where he was euthanized after the stabbing Saturday evening. No arrests were made as of Sunday.

A pit bull was stabbed to death in Central Park by a switchblade-wielding attacker who got into a quarrel with the dog’s owner. The attacker was walking three dogs without a leash when his dogs started attacking the couple’s pooches. An argument ensued as the stabber’s unleashed dogs started biting Eli and the Chihuahua. When the woman tried to separate the dogs, the unleashed dog’s walker pulled out a switchblade and stabbed Eli, mortally wounding the pooch. The stabber ran off and has not been caught.
