Street Fighter 6 Won’t Add New Mechanics Yet, Feedback Shapes Balancing
Street Fighter 6 director Takayuki Nakayama says there are no plans for new mechanics or sweeping changes to the Drive Gauge, though the team is monitoring player feedback from social media, surveys, and tournaments and will experiment. Season 4 introduces Yasmine, Arjun, Tifa Lockhart (guest) and Bosch, with balance changes applied specifically (not universally). The game aims for a long lifecycle, but for now the developers don’t expect major mechanical overhauls, though adjustments could come later based on ongoing feedback.
