The Last of Us Multiplayer Faces Review and Setbacks.
Bungie reportedly evaluated The Last of Us Factions and raised concerns about its ability to keep players engaged for a long period of time, leading to Sony reevaluating the project and taking off many of its developers to assign them to other things. While Factions is not cancelled, things do not seem to be looking good for the standalone live service multiplayer game. Sony is heavily investing in live service, but it is harder to find success in this space compared to big single player games.
