
Paramount Poised to Acquire Florence Pugh's The Midnight Sun in Cannes Deal
Paramount is nearing a deal to acquire The Midnight Sun, a fantasy drama directed by Garth Davis and starring Florence Pugh, for more than $30 million. StudioCanal will distribute the film in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Benelux, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, with Paramount handling other regions. The project is an adaptation of a Matt Haig book, with Pugh set to play Nora Seed. Production credits include Graham Broadbent and Pete Czernin for Blueprint, Anita Overland, and Ben Knight and Diarmuid McKeown as producers, while Puck was first to report the development.
