Tarantino Takes Aim at Hollywood, Praises Netflix Cop Thriller The Rip
Quentin Tarantino blasts Hollywood as a “flavorless sausage factory” and says recent releases often fail due to flaws and audience pandering, but he praises Netflix’s The Rip for its suspenseful, clever cop-thriller premises and Carnahan/McGrale screenplay. The film, directed by Joe Carnahan and starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, centers on two Miami-Dade detectives uncovering cartel-linked corruption. Tarantino is also writing a West End play, The Popinjay Cavalier, and has not announced his 10th film.
