Fallout 76 gets free next-gen upgrade and The Slasher event on September 15
Bethesda announced that Fallout 76 will receive a free Xbox Series X|S upgrade on September 15, delivering 60 FPS on Series X|S, 4K resolution, and gen-9 optimizations (with better draw distances, shadows, and VRR), alongside a new in‑game experience called The Slasher. The update also brings platform-specific improvements and features such as weapon crafting at workbenches and Legacy Seasons, with ongoing optimization for multiple consoles.
