PA Father Charged With Murder After 14-Month-Old Dies in Hot SUV

Daniel Moist, 38, has been charged with third-degree murder, involuntary manslaughter and related offenses after his 14-month-old daughter died in the back seat of his SUV in 90-degree heat in Northampton County, Pennsylvania. Authorities say Moist dropped his older daughter at a sports camp, skipped the daycare drop, stopped for drinks, and went to work, spending about 10 minutes on his phone before returning to the vehicle; the child was later found dead when his wife contacted the daycare. Investigators found a vaping device in the car and marijuana ingredients in Moist’s blood. He was released on $500,000 bail and a preliminary hearing is set for July 15.

Sandy shooting suspect identified, charged with multiple murders and kidnapping

Bryan Andrew Moore has been identified as the suspect in the Sandy shooting and faces three counts of third-degree murder, two counts of first-degree kidnapping, and one count of felon in possession of a firearm; the domestic disturbance on Evans Street left multiple people dead and a Sandy police officer wounded, who was flown to a hospital by LifeFlight and is expected to survive. Moore was taken into custody Sunday evening.

Guilty Plea: Pittsburgh Man Admits to Killing Students in Tragic Shootings

Eugene Watson, a Pittsburgh man, pleaded guilty to third-degree murder, criminal conspiracy to commit third-degree murder, and two firearms charges in connection with the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old student at Oliver Citywide Academy. Watson, who was 17 at the time of the shooting, was charged as an adult. His brother, Brandon Watson, was also charged but had his case sent to juvenile court. The victim, Marquis Campbell, was shot outside the school in January 2022. Watson's sentencing is scheduled for January 25, and he could face up to 40 years in prison.
