Doorbell Cam Captures Lightning Strike Near Staten Island Home
A Staten Island man, Thomas Fahmy, was struck by lightning just steps from his home while heading to a dentist appointment. The doorbell camera captured him collapsing and then getting up to seek help; he was hospitalized overnight with no burns or major injuries and released the next day. Doctors said he survived with no major injuries, and he expressed gratitude for being alive amid other recent US lightning incidents.
