"South Dakota's Minimum Wage Set to Rise on January 1st"
South Dakota's minimum wage will rise from $10.80 to $11.20 per hour starting January 1, 2024, in accordance with the annual adjustment based on the Consumer Price Index. Tipped employees will see their minimum wage increase to $5.60 per hour, half of the non-tipped employee rate. The wage increase will apply to most South Dakota employers, with a few exceptions.
