Tropical Storm Vance Forms in Pacific, Igniting Online Jokes Amid Political Controversy
A new tropical storm named 'Vance' has formed in the eastern Pacific, approximately 520 miles south of Acapulco, Mexico. While the National Hurricane Center indicates the storm poses no immediate risk to land, Accuweather predicts it could intensify into a Category 3 hurricane, bringing heavy rain and rough surf to Mexico's Pacific coast. The name has sparked widespread social media mockery, with users referencing a 2024 meme about the vice president and couches. This weather event coincides with political controversy surrounding Vice President JD Vance's reaction to an attack ad against Dr. Amy Acton.
