WHCD shooter eyed Trump officials, acting AG says
A 31-year-old gunman who disrupted the White House Correspondents’ Dinner is believed to have targeted Trump officials, with acting Attorney General Todd Blanche saying authorities found a manifesto and that the motive is under investigation. The suspect traveled from California to Chicago to Washington, checked into the hotel hosting the event, and was armed with a shotgun, handgun, and knives. He is not cooperating, and authorities expect charges of assaulting a federal officer and using a firearm during a crime of violence; President Trump was evacuated and no one else was harmed as security teams responded.
