AMC Greenlights Eight-Part 'Point Break' Series for 2027
AMC and Canal+ have officially ordered an eight-episode series based on the 1991 action film 'Point Break.' The show, produced by Alcon Television Group, AMC Studios, and StudioCanal, will be co-showrun by Dave Kalstein and Christopher C. Rogers. Production is scheduled to begin in early 2027, with no casting announced yet. The series is set more than three decades after the original film and follows a new heist crew inspired by the Ex-Presidents, with the FBI relying on a mysterious ex-pro surfer to infiltrate them.
