Ukraine Deploys Flying Signal Repeaters to Extend Drone Range and Counter Jamming
Ukraine is deploying specialized drones that act as airborne signal repeaters to extend the operational range of attack and reconnaissance drones by over 50 kilometers. These relay drones, such as Twist Robotics' Saker Scout, strengthen communication links against Russian electronic jamming, allowing operators to maintain control over longer distances. Serial production began in 2023, and multiple Ukrainian firms now offer dedicated or adaptable relay platforms.
