California mother gets decades-long sentence for hosting teen, alcohol-fueled parties
A California mother, Shannon O’Connor, was sentenced to up to 35 years and 10 months in state prison after being convicted of organizing alcohol-fueled, sexualized parties for teens and for facilitating nonconsensual sexual activity among minors; victims included some as young as 11–12. She has already earned about 9.5 years of credit, leaving roughly 27 years to serve, with the possibility of reductions for good behavior and an appeal pending.
