Up-close encounters with great white sharks caught on camera.
A videographer captured footage of a great white shark lunging at bait just six feet away from an underwater cage off the coast of South Africa. The experienced diver noted that the encounter was different, as great white sharks are usually tentative and slow to approach the boat. He also emphasized the importance of changing people's misguided perceptions about sharks, pointing out that humans kill over 11,000 sharks an hour while there were only five fatal shark attacks in 2022.
