UW-Whitewater Clears Campus Safety After Emergency Alert
UW-Whitewater said there was no threat to life after an emergency alert prompted a shelter-in-place order earlier in the day. Campus police and the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office checked university buildings and confirmed safety around 11:37 a.m.; officials said more information would follow. The fall semester began, and the Rock County campus was not affected.
