Baltic States Implement Ban on Russian License Plates
Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania have banned vehicles with Russian license plates from entering their territories, in line with the European Union's recent interpretation of sanctions against Russia over its war on Ukraine. The ban applies to all motor vehicles registered in Russia and is aimed at pressuring Russia to retreat to its borders. Russia has criticized the move and threatened to retaliate, while the Baltic states view it as a necessary measure to prevent Russian aggression.
