
Kavinsky, Nightcall’s Creator, Dies at 50 in Paris
French DJ Kavinsky, real name Vincent Belorgey and known for the synth-pop hit Nightcall, was found dead at his Paris home; an investigation into the cause of death is underway. The 50-year-old, who opened for Daft Punk in 2007 and whose Nightcall featured in Drive and the 2024 Paris Olympics closing ceremony, has drawn tributes from French officials including culture minister Catherine Pégard and President Emmanuel Macron.
