NYC Implements 11 p.m. Curfew at Additional Migrant Shelters
New York City is expanding a migrant shelter curfew to 20 locations following recent violent incidents involving police and migrants in Times Square. The 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew will impact about 3,600 migrants and is in response to neighborhood complaints. The announcement comes after a 15-year-old armed migrant from Venezuela was arrested for shooting a tourist and firing at police in Times Square. He will be charged as an adult.
