Pregnant and Powerful: Frahm’s Record-Setting 2026 Nebraska Softball Run
Jordy Frahm capped a record-breaking 2026 season for Nebraska softball by competing through pregnancy, delivering standout hitting and pitching as the Huskers reached the Women’s College World Series. She hit .403 with 20 home runs, 51 RBIs, 11 doubles, 60 runs, a .806 slugging and .496 on-base percentage, and went in the circle with a 1.37 ERA, 12 saves and 251 strikeouts. In WCWS play, she homered in the opener and carried a no-hitter into the sixth in a 3-1 loss to Texas, after helping Nebraska to a 5-3 win over Arkansas in 10 innings and contributing in a loss to Alabama. Frahm earned USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year and NFCA Player of the Year for a second straight season—the first back-to-back winner since the awards began—before delaying professional softball due to her pregnancy, with plans to stay involved in growing the sport.
