Weezer kicked off The Gathering – Initiation Week with a five-song rooftop acoustic set atop the Hinano Cafe in Venice Beach, previewing their upcoming tour and the new single Shine Again (April 1); the show included Go Away with Bethany Cosentino and sets the stage for a 32-date U.S.-Canada arena tour starting Sept. 8, with guests the Shins and Silversun Pickups, plus additional LA pop-ups and events.
Weezer revealed a 2026 North American arena tour dubbed Weezer: The Gathering, running about 32 stops from Sept. 8 in Sacramento to Oct. 24 in Los Angeles with The Shins and Silversun Pickups as openers. The band is also hosting fan-oriented “Initiation Week” events and has a new single, Shine Again, due April 1, following their 2021 album Van Weezer.

The strike is about protecting writers' careers and families, and ensuring writing doesn't become a gig economy job.
Weezer performed an acoustic concert for striking writers outside Paramount Pictures, playing some of their biggest hits. The band joins Imagine Dragons and other celebrities in supporting the Writers Guild of America strike. Other forms of support have included pizza deliveries and live mariachi bands at the picket lines.
